Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device by SolarLugia Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device by SolarLugia
"Very Good. You are now in possesion of the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device. With it, you can create your own Portals. These interdimensional gates have proven to be completely safe. The device however has not."
~GLaDOS

An ink drawing of everyone's favorite inter-dimensional weapon. Don't you wish you had one?

Err... did you use crosshatching in this one, too? :o

Or you just simply painted it with colored pencils? :?

Crosshatching and pen work. In the same style I did GLaDOS.

It's somehow strange when I try to draw the Portal Gun because I never manage to make a good perspective. It always look like like dull... :(

About references... do you think GOOD artists should not use references?

I mean, I have this awesome czech friend called ~Hanci6 and she complains about her lack of skill to draw something "without a reference". I tried to cheer her up without much sucess, but honestly I myself was questioning that, too.

Should a REAL GOOD artist NOT use referecen for her/his drawings? :plotting:

That really depends.. they are useful to some degree, but what matters is using them in a way that helps to improve your skill.

Uhm... interesting.

Can you draw something without any reference? Is there some specific kind of drawing you can say: "Come whatever you want, I can draw it!"? :)

Oh! Nice!

Usually, I can draw simple cartoons which I use to make jokes about something funny and then give them to my friends! It's like using memes in real life! :XD:

By the way, are you willing to make a collab or even an art trade? I can write poems! Or even write full texts! :D
